Day 1: Arrive Athens

Welcome to Athens – the city with the most glorious history in the world, and a city worshipped by gods and people, has a magic of its own! The enchanting capital of Greece has always been identified as the birthplace for civilization. It is the city where democracy was born and also most of the wise men of the ancient times. The most important civilization of ancient world flourished in Athens and relives through some of the world`s most formidable edifices. On arrival, you will be welcomed by our tour host and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay at Athens.

Day 2: Athens

Breakfast at the hotel. You will begin your tour with a city tour of Athens which includes a visit to the Acropolis and its museum. This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. You will see the centre of the city, Constitution Square (Syntagma), the Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. On the way to the Acropolis you will see the Panathenaic Stadium (where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896), the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian`s Arch. At the Acropolis, you will visit the Museum and the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally, The Parthenon. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Athens.

Day 3: Athens

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, you are free to explore the city of Athens on your own or you can take an optional tour to Delphi – Drive through the fertile plain of Boeotia, passing the towns of Thebes, connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus, Levadia and Arachova, famous for its colorful rugs and carpets. Arrive at Delphi, the centre of the ancient world, called the `Omphalos` (navel of the earth), whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic world. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Overnight stay at Athens.

Day 4: Depart Athens

Today is the last day of our tour. Your guide will drive you to Airport where you are expecting your flight back home. Four beautiful and richly-filled days came to an end.
